Leather accessories and leather clothing has been stylish for many years. The durability of leather is unquestionable it lasts a life time. Since there are so many different leather accessories it can be overwhelming when shopping for someone else or even yourself.

Leather fashions such as leather purses or leather briefcases are elegant, leather passport covers and saddlebags can be efficient for holding you personal items. Leather wallets are classy and timeless. They even make leather hairpieces you can clip in your hair. It can obviously be fun to shop for leather apparel .

Christa and Sophie Texeira are up and coming young starlets of Hollywood. These young women are lovely and sophisticated as well as talented. They were seen at Artist Knox Luxury Grooming Pet Salon on June 27, 2009 in Hollywood, California. Christa with two handmade hair feathers attached at the bottom of her long braids made of recycled leather and matching her turquoise top.

Sophie Texeira is wearing hear feather hair clip along her face made up of tan leather. These girls are not just talented but smart choosing to wear recycled leather products.

Emily Grace Reeves is a lovely young actress that co-stars in the new movie “The Hannah Montana Movie”. She attended the Disney’s “Ponyo” Premiere at the LA Film Festival. She looked great in her white dress and brown cowgirl boots. She has wonderful style for a young lady. She had her hair in beautiful long locks with a lovely handmade feather clip in her hair.

The feather hair clip is made of recycled leather and is adorned with gemstones. She looks fabulous. Job well done Ms. Reeves.

I have had the most interesting two days. It started with my best friend getting a e-mail yesterday asking if their business could supply some hair pieces that they have for Destinee Monroe’s sixteenth birthday party. “Wow…how exciting”, is all I could say, but what they do not know is the hair pieces are homemade and they wanted seventy-five by Saturday for gift bags. Mind you these hair pieces are feathers that have been found over the years, wrapped with recycled or scrapped leather, decorated with gem stones, and put on different hair clips…each one is unique, and time consuming to make. We put together thirty-six in time to get them to them by Saturday.

I started not knowing how to make these feather hair pieces, and now want to try to start a new line of handmade hair feather pieces for them. The enjoyment and relaxation that came from making them was unreal. Even though we were rushed, the atmosphere was wonderful, and I cannot wait to see these beautiful leather wrapped hair pieces on the heads of these beautiful teenagers.

 The Native American wear feathers pointed down to represent that they came in peace. I wear handmade hair feathers  in my hair to remind me I am a Spiritual being having a human experience and that I can fly high with Great Spirit.
The stones remind me to remain grounded to Mother Earth’s energy, for I am also a child of earth.
